Print Remittance Advice

To print the remittance advice statement from the A/P payment printing/posting forms, select this option and then click Process. To have the system print, fax, or email the remittance advice statements on a vendor-by-vendor basis, select the Use Profile check box.

After the remittance advice statement is submitted, a window displays asking if the statement printed successfully. If you are satisfied with the statement output, click Yes. If you are not satisfied with the statement output, click No, and then run the utility again until you are satisfied with the statement output. As long as you do not close the form, you can leave this window open until you determine whether the statement output is satisfactory. All reprints use the same parameters as the original.

Note:
  • If the remittance advice statement has been submitted at least once, the statement is not complete until you confirm that the statement output is satisfactory. In this case, if you exit the form without confirming, a message displays to indicate that the printing was not confirmed and cannot be reprinted. The form then closes.
  • If you have selected the Use Profile option, the system bypasses this statement review and proceeds to send the remittance advice statements

If the Remittance Advice option is selected for a specific type of payment on the Accounts Payable Parameters form, then this Print Remittance Advice option is enabled on the appropriate A/P payment printing/posting form for that type of payment.

Printing a remittance advice is not a mandatory step for posting payments. However, a remittance advice statement always prints for standard drafts.

When you select this option, the system reads the payments file but does not update any files.

Note:  If you select this option, but no manual checks exist in the check batch, or no incoming drafts exist in the draft batch, the remittance advice is blank.
