Post in Background Queue
This check box on the Mass Journal Posting form allows you to select the system journals you want to post in the Background Queue. The journals are locked as part of the posting process run in the background. You must select at least one system journal to place in the Background Queue.
When you select this check box, the system:
- Selects the Delete Transactions After Post check box and makes it inactive
- Clears and disables the Reversing Transaction Date field
- Clears and disables the Single Date To All Entries check box
- Clears and disables the Post Through field
- Disables the Print and Commit fields, and button
- Allows you to select check boxes in the Post column other than just To Print and To Post
Note: You can select journals with a status
of To Print and To Post with the Post In Background
Queue check box selected or cleared. You cannot select the Post field for General journal or user journals.
When you return to the Mass Journal Posting form, this check box is cleared (which is its default state). All options on the Mass Journal Posting return to their default state upon reopening the form.
