Transaction Code

The transaction code displays its default value from the SyteLine database. The code is assigned based on type of transmission that is received. Valid transaction codes include:

  • RPO: (850) electronically received regular or blanket PO
  • Transactions Using Replace Logic
    • BCO: (830) electronically received blanket planned order. (For example, typically an 830 is a blanket planned order sent at the beginning of the week that would be firmed into a production schedule.)
    • BCO: (862) electronically received replacement to a blanket order. (For example, if there were changes to the original blanket order that had been previously sent as indicated in the example for the BCO/830, then a BCO/862 would be transmitted that would replace the original data.)

Replace Logic deletes the entire set of open releases for the order and replaces it with the most current data from the incoming order.

EXAMPLE: You receive a blanket order with a quantity of 100 for item ABC on Monday. On Tuesday you receive a replacement quantity of 25 for item ABC. The system would recognize the new (or replaced), quantity as 25, NOT as 125.
