Validating the database

  1. After the database is connected, click Validate to run the database validation checks.

    During the validation, a progress bar is updated, and the tool displays the current validation step. See “Validation tasks,” below.

    When validation is complete, either Successful or Failed is displayed.

    If the validation was successful, you are done using the tool.

  2. If the validation failed, click View Log to view the validation log. See “Validation Log” below.
  3. If you want the tool to try to fix any errors, click Remediate. See “Preparing the database” below.
  4. After the tool corrects all of the errors that it can fix, correct any remaining problems manually.
  5. Rerun the Validate phase and continue fixing errors until it completes successfully.
    Note: The validation must return a Successful status before you can run the Single Version Installer.
