Auto-Post Job Transactions

Select this field to automatically post job transactions that originate in the data collection tables, changing the status from unposted to posted. If you clear this field, you must manually perform the posting process on those transactions through the Unposted Job Transactions form. This does not apply to manually entered transactions.

If Auto-Post Job Transactions and Auto-Post Manufacturing Labor are both selected on the Data Collection Parameters form, the job transaction posting process occurs automatically. If Auto-Post Job Transactions is selected, but Auto-Post Manufacturing Labor is not selected, the posting occurs when you manually post from these Error Processing forms: Job Error Processing, Work Center Error Processing, and Work Center Machine Time Error Processing.

Caution:

If payroll is taken from the job transactions, in the case of inaccurate data entry, the posted transactions may need to be rebalanced for overtime. Therefore, we recommend that Auto-Post be left off in this case.
