Sales Discount

On the Estimate Lines form, enter the Sales Discount given to the customer for the current line item. The Ext Price is multiplied by (1 - Sales Discount/100) to form the net price. For example, if Qty Ordered was 10.5, Unit Price was 0.3266 and Sales Discount was 6.0%, the net price would be 3.22354.

Formula: NetP = ExtP * (1 - Disc/100)

EXAMPLE: 3.22354 = (0.3266 * 10.5) *  (1 - 6/100)

On the Customer Order Lines form, enter the percent of discount to be given to the customer for this item. When accessing the form through the Add mode and a matching record is found, this Discount Percent field displays the value found in the discount by customer type and product code files. A positive percentage is a discount and a negative percentage is a markup.

On the Consolidated Invoices Workbench form, the field, which is labeled Sales Discount, displays the percentage discount specified for the current invoice line item in the Customer Order Lines form.
