Discount Type
Select Percent to enter the discount for the order as a percentage or select Amount to enter it as a calculated amount. The system uses the order discount to recalculate the Total Price on the Customer Orders form.
When calculating discounts for an order, the system applies any line item level discounts that exist to each line. Then it applies the order level discount to the sum of the lines.
Note: If you make changes to an order after
entering a discount, the system displays a warning message because the
discount is based on the Total Price. Therefore,
when you make changes to the order, you may want to update the order discount.
