About Province/State Codes
Province/state identification is made up of these fields:
- The Prov/St Code field specifies the code that represents a province/state, and is used on various forms throughout the system. This code normally applies to a single province/state, but multiple province/states may use the same code.
- The Prov/State field, which appears only on the Prov/States form, is used to differentiate between prov/states with identical codes. For example, if two province/states use the code AA in the Prov/St Code field, the Prov/State field is used to specify a unique identifying code for each. All records on the Prov/States form must have a unique Prov/State entry.
- The Description field is used to identify the full name of the province/state.
