About Delivery Terms
If you do not have existing delivery terms already defined in SyteLine, we recommend that you use INCO terms (available through the drop-down menu on the Delivery Terms field) when defining new delivery terms.
If you already have custom delivery terms defined and referenced elsewhere in the system, you cannot delete or modify them, for data consistency. However, when integrating SyteLine to other BOD-enabled applications, only the INCO terms may be used. In order to make this work, you can map any existing custom delivery terms to the predefined INCO terms on the Delivery Terms form.
You can map multiple delivery terms to the same INCO term. This is acceptable if you already have existing custom delivery terms used in transactions stored in the database. For example, you might map the following:
Delivery Term | Description | INCO Term |
---|---|---|
ANY | Free Carrier | FCA |
STD | Free Carrier | FCA |
However, if you do this, the system will choose only one of the delivery terms descriptions to display in Business Object Documents (BODs). So if you provide more than one delivery terms description for the mapped INCO terms code, the BOD may not include the description you expect. For example:
Delivery Term | Description | INCO Term |
---|---|---|
STD | Standard Delivery | FCA |
FCA | Free Carrier | FCA |
