Financial income analysis fact

The Financial Income Analysis fact defines the data model for financial income analysis. The purpose of this fact is to include the data necessary to perform high level financial income analysis, and view additional data elements that must be calculated. The data in the Financial Income Analysis fact must reflect a view of data at a specific point of time, normally the end of an accounting period. The fact granularity is one row for every account per fiscal period.

Multi-currency

This fact provides three types of currency rate methods - current exchange rate, period average exchange rate, and period end exchange rate. When converting the domestic amount to the report currency amount, Birst multiples the domestic amount by the exchange rate to get the report currency amount. If there is no exchange rate, then 0 displays.

Calculation:

average rate amount = domestic amount * average exchange rate per period

If there is no exchange rate, then 0 displays.

current rate amount = domestic amount * current exchange rate

If there is no exchange rate, then 0 displays.

end rate amount = domestic amount * end exchange rate of the period

If there is no exchange rate, then 0 displays.
