Customized content and the impact of updating spaces
The command copyspace has 2 modes:
- Copy – Items in the from_SpaceID are copied over to the to_SpaceID. This is an additive action and does not remove or overwrite existing information.
- Replicate – Makes the items in the to_SpaceID the same as in the from_SpaceID. Replicate removes and overwrites information as necessary.
Command: copyspace [space1id] [space2id] [copy/replicate] [options]
For example: copyspace from_SpaceID to_SpaceID replicate catalog:”shared/Collection/Home Page.page”
When you use copyspace…replicate, customized filters, variables, or reports on dashboard are overwritten with the incoming content from the source space. The copyspace commands in the worksheet, assume the target space’s catalog folder structure of the source spaces.
