Prerequisites

Administrators who perform the update process must have the Birst-SystemAdministrator security role assigned to their user record in Ming.le. This role also grants access to the Birst application.

General knowledge and understanding of the Birst Space Admin Command Window and the command operations such as copyspace is also highly recommended.

Before you proceed with a content update, you must perform space back-up procedures. If an issue occurs during a content update, you can use the back-up copy to restore a space back to its original state. For Orchestrations, modifications should only be done on clones of the SMD orchestrations.
