Migrating Data to a New Site

Multi-site administrators can use the automation tool on the Site Management form to onboard data from any existing site to a new site, without taking any other sites offline. This means you can migrate data from an existing site to a newly added site with no maintenance downtime in your production environment.

You can also use this tool to replace a database in a multi-site structure.

Note: Migration processing efficiency can be impacted by hardware conditions, including network throughput, bandwidth, and server CPU and memory.

There are two options to migrate site data:

Import site data with specified site data by remote API calls. For instructions, see Importing Site Data by Remote API Calls.
Import site data by files after export from the source site. For instructions, see Importing Site Data by Files.
