Using the Data Lake with SyteLine

SyteLine can send master and transactional data, as well as table schemas, to the Data Lake. The data can then be consumed by other applications.

When the products are integrated, you can see the SyteLine schema in the Data Lake. However, notice that not all of the data from SyteLine is available in the Data Lake. Only the dataset (list of tables) that is defined in the DATALAKE replication category are available for use through the Data Lake by other applications. This list of tables in the replication category is predefined by Infor.

The dataset is initially populated during the configuration. When users update data on a SyteLine form that has an underlying table included in the replication category, the data is replicated to the SyteLine dataset in the Data Lake through ION messaging. The data is then available for use by applications that access the Data Lake, for example, Infor Birst.
