About This Guide

This guide is intended for SyteLine 9.00 and SyteLine users who also work in one or more Microsoft Office products and want to share information between SyteLine and the Office product.

Note: The latest version of the Microsoft Add-Ins for Excel and Project is backwards compatible to version 9.00. Version 9.00 still had the name SyteLine. Beginning with 9.00.20, the name was changed to SyteLine. This document uses the SyteLine name throughout, but you can use it for those two add-ins with the 9.00 version of SyteLine. The Outlook add-in requires SyteLine 9.01 or beyond.

SyteLine integrates with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Exchange. Each of these integrations requires some installation and configuration, which is described in the individual sections of this guide.

The integration also includes a "search" Web service, so that you can search for related SyteLine data from any Office application’s Research task pane. This integration, which does not require any installation but does require registration of the service, is described in a section of this guide.

Workstation log on is not possible when the SyteLine authentication is performed via Ming.le/SSO.
