About viewing IDO definitions

To view the elements and attributes of an IDO, use the IDOs form and execute Filter-In-Place. Then, in the Grid View, select the IDO you want to view.

The "wizard" buttons

Across the top of the form are four buttons. Each of these four buttons launches a "wizard" form that you can use to create these resources for an IDO you have checked out.

For more information about these buttons, see the context-sensitive help associated with each button.

General IDO attributes

In the section just below these buttons, the IDOs form displays the basic, or general, attributes of the selected IDO: its name, associated IDO project, and so on.

In the lower right-hand area of this section, there are also two buttons (Check In/Check Out and Undo Check Out) that allow you to check the IDO out. check it in, or unlock it if you are using source control on your system. These source control actions can be performed from this form, without having to use Form Control.

For detailed information about each of the attributes in this section, see the context-sensitive help associated with each attribute.

Form access buttons

Below the general attributes area is a row of buttons that you can use to launch forms for the various elements of an IDO—tables, properties, methods, and so on. These forms provide more detailed information than is generally available on the IDOs form. They also usually provide options to create or modify IDO elements.

For detailed information about these buttons, see the context-sensitive help associated with each button.

Attributes grid

At the bottom of the form is a notebook component with several tabs. Use these tabs to view summaries of the elements and other information associated with the selected IDO:
