Creating Transfer Order Line Items

  1. On the Transfer Order Line Items form, select the transfer order to which you want to add line items. (If you just selected or created the transfer order header on the Transfer Order form, skip this step.)
  2. Select Actions > New.
  3. Specify information in these fields:
    • Line: Enter a unique line number or accept the default, which will be incremented by 1 from the last line item entered for this transfer.
    • Item: Enter a valid inventory item.
      Note:  The inventory item entered must have a valid warehouse set up at the inventory item level for both the From and To Warehouse fields located on the Transfer Order header.
    • Quantity: Enter the item quantity to be transferred. (This field is optional.)
    • Sched Rcpt Date: Enter the date that the inventory is scheduled to be received.
    • Sched Ship Date: This field is calculated by the system and is based on the Dock-to-Stock time entered on the Planning tab on the Items form.
    • Transit Loc: Enter the location where the inventory will be stored while in transit, or accept the default of Transit.
      Note:  A new stockroom location can be entered into the Transit Loc field. You will be prompted upon entering the Transit Loc to create the location.
    • From Ref Type: Enter the source of the order being shipped. The default is Inventory. (If this is a multi-site transfer order, you can update this field only at the From site.)
    • To Ref Type: Displays the destination for the order being received. The default is Inventory. (If this is a multi-site transfer order, you can update this field only at the To site.)
  4. If your planning mode is APS, click the Get ATP/CTP button to incrementally plan the transfer order line item.
  5. Select Actions > New to add a new line item, if necessary.
  6. Select Actions > Save.
