Setup Groups

Use setup groups to categorize similar items for optimizing the setup of resources during scheduling. The Scheduler can then use the grouping codes to apply setup time when the resource changes from working on an item from one setup group to an item from another setup group.

For example, when a resource works on a bike frame in the "RED" group to a bike frame in the "BLUE" group, it undergoes a setup of 15 minutes. The actual setup time applied can be a fixed value (from the Setup field on the operation) or can be calculated from a Setup Matrix.
