Production Schedule Item/Release Materials

Use the Production Schedule Release Materials form to maintain the BOM for a specific production schedule release.

After you create a production schedule release BOM, it remains independent of the corresponding production schedule item BOM; changes you make to the release BOM are not automatically synchronized to the production schedule item BOM (and vice versa).

On both forms, you enter the materials manually for each production schedule item or release. You can also maintain a summary of rates that are default values from other forms.

These tabs are available:

• Use the Materials tab to maintain a list of the materials needed for a production schedule item or production schedule release. Items are listed by operation. You may copy or enter manually the production schedule materials for each production schedule item or release.
• Use the References tab to view and maintain reference information about each material. You may enter one record for each quantity listed on a Production Schedule Material record. For example, if you enter a quantity of four, you would then enter four reference records.
• Use the Costs tab to maintain a summary of costs that are default values from other forms. This tab serves as a quick reference.
