Post Job Transactions

Use this form to post the entered job transactions to the Job, Operation, Material, Work Center, Items, Job Transaction, Material Transaction, and Journal tables. You post the transactions after entering all job transactions.

Note:  You can avoid entering incorrect job transactions by using the Perform Additional Validation option on the Shop Floor Control Parameters form. However, if you do post an incorrect transaction, you can reverse it by entering a negative transaction.

See Reversing a Job Transaction.

Caution:
Do not run the Post Job Transactions activity if you are already posting job transactions through Data Collection (Auto-Post Job Transactions is selected on the Data Collection Parameters form).

If you run the Post Job Transactions activity in the background, it uses a task of type IDOMTH. When processing tasks of this type, TaskMan requires a configuration with the same name as the site name. On the machine where TaskMan is running (typically the utility server), you must create a configuration where the configuration name matches the database site name, if one doesn't already exist.

If a job transaction is run in the background, but lacks sufficient quantity, the transaction is aborted, but the user does not receive an error message. Instead, use the Background Task History form to view these posting errors.
