Planning Summary

Use this form to view all requirements for an item for a specified period (also referred to as "bucketed" requirements), after running MRP or APS Planning or the MPS Processor. To view more detail, see the Planning Detail.

Note:  Each co-product item in a co-product job displays as an outstanding receipt with the same job number. By-products display as negative requirements.

You must enter 12 periods in the Planning Horizon Calendar before entering this form.

The form has these tabs:

  • Summary: This tab displays summary information about the selected item. The system extracts the values that display in most of the fields at the top of the form from the Items form, where you can change the values. The system updates the Last Gen Date and On Hand fields automatically. All quantities display in the base unit of measure from the Items form.
  • Monthly: This tab displays monthly data for the selected tab.
  • Monthly Plot: This tab contains a grid which displays the total average cost, total standard cost, and both the upper and lower control limit for the selected item across a range of months.
Note:  On the Monthly and Monthly Plot tabs, data is only displayed for months in which there were changes in the inventory value.
