Single Level Current BOM Cost Roll Up

Use this utility to recalculate the values shown on the Item Costs form for the selected item. This utility calculates the total cost for the item, using the operation setup and run times, the operation overhead rates, and the bill of material quantity per assembly and unit cost. The cost that's used for each material comes from the Unit Cost field on the Item Costs form. The calculated total cost is then posted to the Current Unit Cost field of the parent item.

For standard cost materials, the utility rolls up the standard unit cost.

You may want to apply this utility when using the standard costing method for costing new items, or for items with changed routings.

After you set the parameters and process the form, the results display in the grid at the bottom of the form.
