Copy Transfer Orders

Use this activity to copy all or part of an existing transfer order. If you routinely have similar or recurring transfer orders, this activity can be both labor and time saving.

An easy copying method can also be helpful when you receive requests for "Send me what you did last time." With the Copy Transfer Order utility, you can reference a previous transfer order, copy it, and send it again without sorting through stacks of old transfers.

Caution:
Purging completed transfer orders means that they are not available for copying.

If you copy lines to an existing transfer order, the lines will be added on to the end of the transfer order.

If you leave the To Transfer field blank, the system will create a new transfer order.

The setting of the Preassign Lots and Preassign Serials check boxes on the original transfer order are copied to the new one; however, any preassigned lot or serial numbers are not copied and must be generated for the new transfer order.

If you copy a transfer order that has landed costs, the landed costs are only copied when you create a new transfer order. These Landed Cost fields are copied:

  • Estimated Amount
  • Vendor
  • Allocation Method
  • Allocation Type
  • Allocation %
