Variable Material Overhead
Enter the account number for the Variable Material Overhead Applied account. The system will apply variable costs to this account. In contrast to the Fixed Material Overhead account, this account handles costs which fluctuate according to volume changes.
The system will use this account number during job material transactions, job labor transactions, and on entering a job into stock upon completion.
Note: This field maintains a G/L account number. The account number you
enter in this field must be a valid account number in the Chart of Accounts.
The
Var Material Ovhd field is
enabled only if a rate is entered in the
Variable Material Overhead
Rate field on the
General tab.
