Trace Level

This field applies to the Scheduler only.

Select the detail level at which the Scheduler should log status messages during a schedule run:

  • Minimal: Only the main schedule events, such as creation and deletion of database tables, schedule start and finish, and any warnings or errors.
  • Limited: The Minimal level messages plus all scheduled events (such as job releases and load arrivals), in addition to all time advances.
  • Extensive: Detailed trace messages, event-by-event trace messages, and status messages (for example, requesting and freeing a resource, allocating a resource to a load, and interrupting an operation).

In your day-to-day Scheduler activities, these messages are useful only for troubleshooting. Depending on the option you select, trace generation can greatly increase the execution time of a schedule run and also use a significant amount of storage space.

After running the Scheduler, you can view the trace output messages on the Background Task Historyform, in the SyteLine database table TRACELOG.
