Reference Designator

Enter the reference designator for the material. This field refers to a specific locator type or indicator on the drawing of the assembly.

EXAMPLE: You have a drawing with R1, R2 (resistors) C1 C2 (capacitors) entries. These entries represent the specific item which is located at the space on the drawing where the reference number is shown. Using this example, your first entry in this Ref Designator field would be R1.

This field is important when showing materials on the production schedule paperwork to indicate where the item is to be located.
