Quantity WIP

The total amount of a particular item currently being manufactured displays. This quantity equals the difference between the quantity released and the quantity completed for all jobs and production schedule releases with a status of Released or Stopped at all warehouses. This amount displays on the job header records.

When completed, these items increment your on-hand quantity.

The Rebalance Item Qty Alloc To Prod And WIP utility recalculates this amount.

When you release a job or a production schedule, this amount increases. When you complete a quantity and post the job or production schedule transaction, this amount decreases.

On the Item Availability form, this field displays the quantity of the item in production for the current warehouse.

When the status of a Production Schedule Release is changed to Released, the Quantity WIP for the parent item is updated to reflect the additional quantity on the Production Schedule Release.
