Older Lot Date Shipments

Select a value to use as a validation for the expiration date of lot-tracked items in an order shipment. Select one of these values:

  • Never: Never allow a lot with an expiration date that is older than the previous shipment. When Never is selected and a user tries to ship an order with a lot expiration date that is older than the previous shipment, a warning message is displayed and the shipment is prevented.
  • Always: This is the default value. No validation is performed and no error message is displayed for invalid data. When Always is selected, orders that have lot expiration dates that are older than the previous shipment are allowed.
  • Prompt: Prompt before allowing shipment for a lot with an expiration date that is earlier than the previous shipment. When Prompt is selected and a user tries to ship an order with a lot expiration date that is older than the previous shipment, a warning message is displayed. You must click Yes to continue and ship the order or No to stop shipment.
Note: This only applies to partially shipped lines and blanket order releases. A regular order line with a lot expiration date that is older than a previous order line will still ship.
