Line

For an estimate job order, enter the line number on the referenced estimate to which this job is linked. If the job is created by cross referencing from estimating, this field is automatically set to the corresponding estimate line. If created as a cross-referenced component of another job, Line defaults to the line of the parent job. This field is used to look up the quantity ordered, order date, and due date.

On the Job Orders form, this field is disabled if the destination type is 'project' and the project has incurred any job-related WIP.

For a job order or a co-product job order, enter the line number on the referenced order to which this job is linked. This field is used:

To look up the quantity ordered, order date, and due date
To post the Ready to Ship field
For the Order Entry Cost Variance Report

If the job is created by cross referencing from order entry, this field is automatically set to the corresponding order line. If created as a cross-referenced component of another job, the Line defaults to the line of the parent job.

Note: If you delete or update the reference information in this field, the system displays a message indicating the cross-reference will be unlinked.
