Kit
On the Items or Multi-Site Items form, select this field to identify the current item as a kit. The kit item must already exist in the system, and it must already have a standard bill of material that defines the components of the kit.
A kit item should have the Cost Type field set to Standard.
We recommend that you do not create configurable kits or kits with configurable components.
Note: If this kit
item is used in a customer order line, blanket line, estimate line, estimate
project resource, transfer order line, or project material transaction,
the value of the Kit field cannot be changed.
On other forms, this field displays the setting from the Items form, to indicate whether the item is a kit. The system processes kit items differently than normal items.
