Parent Reference

This field applies to APS.

This column displays the source of the demand that caused the APS engine to create this planned order (PLN), such as a customer order, forecast, parent planned order, etc.

See Reference for descriptions of the codes that represent the sources.

For some demand types, the IDs may not directly correspond to normal SyteLine demand IDs (they may include spaces, periods, and abbreviations).

Note: If you use the Planned Orders Consolidation feature, and a PLN has more than one source, its Parent Reference field will be blank (because there is not enough room to display more than one source).
