Alternate Item

The alternate item field lets you enter a replacement part number. This field is for reference purposes only and is NOT related to the alternate materials feature supported by the APS planning functions.

To use alternate materials within a bill of material, see Using Alternate Materials in a Bill of Material.

Note: If the Show in Drop-Down Lists check box on the Items form is cleared for an item, it will not display in this field. However, you may manually enter the item without causing an error.
