Keywords

The system provides special keywords that automatically place desired information into the text portion of a financial report.

For example, if <fy1> is entered into the Text Col field, the fiscal year prints when the report is run.

Keywords must be entered with the following format: <keyword#>. For date keywords, the # represents the column from which keyword information should be retrieved.

The value displays in the position where the < is located. If you need to fit characters immediately after it, include those characters before the >.

Use these keywords:

  • <cd> Current date
  • <ct> Current time
  • <cv> Current value. Prints the current value of the specified unit code or account in a text line.
  • <cy> Current year
  • <ed#> Period end date
  • <eu1> Ending Reporting Unit 1
  • <eu2> Ending Reporting Unit 2
  • <eu3> Ending Reporting Unit 3
  • <eu4> Ending Reporting Unit 4
  • <ey#> Period end year
  • <fd#> Fiscal year start date
  • <fy#> Fiscal year
  • <id> Report ID
  • <pg> Print one page break
  • <sd#> Period start date
  • <su1> Starting Reporting Unit 1
  • <su2> Starting Reporting Unit 2
  • <su3> Starting Reporting Unit 3
  • <su4> Starting Reporting Unit 4
  • <sy#> Period start year
  • <vd> Description. Prints a text description of the current value in a text line.

A column does not need to be specified for these keywords in order to display the value of the keyword. Information displays no matter whether a column is specified:

<cd>

<ct>

<cy>

<id>

When printing a date using the keyword, the # identifies the column from which the date is taken.
