About Form Builder forms

Form Builder forms are forms that can be created in Runtime Mode, without having to use the Web Designer in web clients or Design Mode in Windows clients. Form Builder uses the Runtime Builder functionality to generate forms from a limited set of templates. The basic options are full-sized forms and widget forms.

Note: Before you can use Form Builder, these conditions must be met:

Form Builder must be designated as a Runtime Builder form on the Form Wizard Categories form.
You must be authorized to access and use Runtime Builder forms.
Unlike other Runtime Builder form wizards, Form Builder must be accessed by means of the Runtime Builder Selection form. It cannot be accessed and function as a stand-alone form, even when designated as a Runtime Builder form.

Full Forms

"Full Forms" have two possible layouts: Form with Grid and Responsive.

There are two basic differences between the templates. Form with Grid forms include a grid component, to be used for navigation through and selection of the records in the IDO collection; Responsive forms do not. Form with Grid forms allow for up to 20 properties from the IDO to be used; Responsive forms allow for only 10 properties.

Both forms are designed to be the same size as most standard Mongoose forms.

Widgets

Widget forms are designed to be smaller and to function within an Infor Ming.le environment. Widgets are typically simple, designed with a single purpose in mind. Form Builder currently offers these layouts:

Graph: This widget form creates a bar chart display using two properties from the IDO collection. The legend is included.
List: This widget form creates a list using up to two properties. The first property is used for the primary value and the second property is used for the secondary value. The data is displayed on tile forms that are also created with the widget form.
List with Icons: This widget form is similar to the List widget form, with the addition of an identifying icon for each record. It can use up to three properties, one of which must be a binary data property, to provide the image for the icon.
Widget Input: This option uses up to five IDO properties to create a widget that allows the user to provide input that can be used to create a new record in the IDO collection.
