Form properties sheet
Use the Form properties sheet to set form and collection properties. These are properties that are used by the form as a whole to:
- Control the way the form displays
- Specify aspects of the form's behavior
- Define what data (properties) are available for use by the various form components
- Specify the help topic for the form
The Form tab
The Form tab displays properties of the current form and includes options to:
- Sort properties by category
- Sort properties alphabetically
For information about a specific form property, click the property row, and then right-click and select Help from the context menu.
The Collections tab
The Collections tab displays the IDO collections available for use on the form, using a hierarchical 'tree' structure.
A form can include data from both primary and secondary collections.
- The primary collection is defined at the time the form is created. You cannot add or delete the primary collection.
- This tab also includes
options to:
- Add a secondary collection, making its properties available on the form
- Delete a secondary collection
- Specify a record cap that applies only to the selected collection. This number cannot exceed the Windows client maximum record cap, if it has been specified on the Process Defaults form.
You can expand the node for each collection to display the properties for the collection. You can then click-and-drag these properties to the form and drop them there to create new components.
