Form Metrics options
On the Common sub-tab of the Form Metrics tab, you can make these settings for form display in general. All measurements are given in character units.

| Default Form Layout | Specify where
the grid view is placed in relation to the detail view:
This setting applies only to multiview forms. |
| Maximum Grid Width | Use this setting to limit the total width of the grid in a multiview form, regardless of other grid view settings. If the grid view is narrower than this setting, then the remainder of the grid uses a horizontal scrollbar for access. |
| Horizontal Space Between Buttons | Specify the minimum amount of horizontal space that can exist between buttons. |
| Vertical Space Between Buttons | Specify the minimum amount of vertical space that can exist between buttons. |
| Space Below Group Box bottom | Specify the
amount of space that is created between a group box and any components that
might be created below it on the form. Note: Wizards create group boxes only around subcollections.

| Space Above Group Box top | Specify the
amount of space that is created between a group box and any components that
might be created above it on the form. Note: Wizards create
group boxes only around subcollections.

| Multiview Grid Pane Size | Use these
settings to specify the display size of the grid view in multiview forms. These
settings are directly associated with the
Default Form Layout
setting:

On the Component sub-tab, you can specify settings for form display in general. All measurements are given in character units.
These options specify the default sizes of many common form components. In the case of subcollection grid and notebook sizes, the effects of these settings depend on what option is chosen for the Default Form Layout field on the Common tab.
