Defining printers

To define a printer:

  1. Open the Printers form.
  2. Specify this information:
    Printer Name

    For printers that are configured with Infor Framework TaskMan Service, specify the path to the printer, as a fully qualified domain name. Use this syntax: \\domainName\printerName

    For printers that are registered in Infor Document Management (IDM) or Google Cloud Print (GCP), specify the name of the printer.

    Description
    Optionally, specify a printer description.
    Type
    Select Enterprise Printer for IDM or Cloud Printer for GCP.
    Printer Server Name
    Select the name of the IDM file server as set on the File Servers form.
    Printer ID
    This field contains the unique identifier of the printer.

    For IDM Enterprise printing, this field is automatically populated with printer IDs of registered printers of the IDM file server selected in the Print Server Name field.

    For cloud printing, specify the printer ID from the Google Cloud Print printers page.

    Internet Info Name
    Select the service account name of the printer.

    For IDM Enterprise printing, leave this field blank.

    For cloud printing, select the service account name from the Google Cloud Print service account details page.

  3. Click Save.
