Integration updates

New integration with Infor Global HR and Talent Management (RS8494)

Automatically activated. In the integration between SyteLine and Infor Global HR/Talent Management, this information about employees is maintained in Global HR and sent to SyteLine as BODs:

  • Master data for employee skill codes, credential/license codes, and absence/leave types (absence reason codes in SyteLine). You should not use SyteLine forms to modify or delete codes that are provided by Infor Global HR.
  • Basic information about each employee such as employee ID, name and address
  • Time off requests and approvals

A later phase of the integration is planned to include additional types of information.

These new fields are used with this integration:

  • On the Human Resource Parameters form, these fields were added:
    • Shift: This field defines the default shift code for all new Employee records. (This field can also be used outside of this integration.)
    • Integrated to External HR: If this field is selected, you cannot create or delete records on the Employees form (or on the Personal Information form in the Employee Self Service module). Some of the fields on both of those forms are disabled so that you cannot modify the information.

      In addition, you cannot create or delete records on the Absence Reasons, Employee Skills and Employee Cert/License forms, and you cannot submit, reject or approve records in the Request Time Off and Request Time Off Manager forms in the Employee Self Service module.

  • On the Payroll Parameters form, a new Wage Account field and associated unit codes define the default wage account for all new employee records. (This field can also be used outside of this integration.)
  • On the Employees form, the new External HR Status field displays the status from Infor Global HR.

A new workflow event handler, “Send Email Regarding HR Status Activity,” can be used to notify a certain SyteLine user when Infor Global HR adds an employee or updates the External HR Status for the employee. That user can then update any SyteLine-specific information for the employee as needed.
