Inventory Control and Material Planning updates
Post Job WIP Move Transactions enhancement (RS8831)
Available to activate. We have enhanced the functionality on the Post Job WIP Move Transactions form to include co-products. A serial numbers area and a co-products area have been added to the form. The serial numbers area provides standard serial number functionality found in other parts of SyteLine. In the co-products area, we have added a grid which includes among other fields, two new fields to the form, Co-product, and U/M. Use the grid to enter co-product data for the transaction. The area also includes the new Total Quantity Target field, which contains the total quantity of the co-products to move.
Preventing the loss of manual updates to a BOM when an inbound BOM update is processed (RS8673)
Available to activate. In an integration between SyteLine and PLM Accelerate, PLM is the system of record for the Bill of Materials. However, users sometimes need to make manual updates to the BOM. For example, when PLM sends a BOM for a new item, SyteLine users might need to add a bolt that is required for the manufacturing. Or they might need to move a material from one operation to another.
Previously, if the BOM was changed in SyteLine and then an updated BOM for the same item was received from PLM, the SyteLine changes were overwritten by the update.
Now, manual changes can be preserved by using (or not using) the PLM BOM Sequence number:
- Materials that are part of the PLM BOM include a BOM sequence. If you move a material in PLM BOM to a different operation, include the original BOM sequence from PLM.
- When you manually add a material in SyteLine to the BOM, and the material was not in the PLM BOM, do NOT include a BOM Sequence number. (If one is added automatically, remove it.)
