Configuring the service application
- In the folder where you installed the setup files, run InforCSIExchangeSyncUI.exe as administrator.

Select File > Configuration.
The Sync Process Configuration screen is displayed.

Specify this SyteLine information:
- CSI End Point
- Specify the URL to connect to the SyteLine IDO Web Service. For example, http://(server)/IDORequestService/ConfigServer.aspx.
- CSI User
- Specify a SyteLine username. The appropriate IDO permissions and Service scheduling permissions must be set up for this user by an administrator. See Setting Service and IDO permissions.
- CSI Password
- Specify the password for the user.
- Site Config
- Select a SyteLine configuration to connect to.
- Click Save.

Click Test Connection.
Ensure that you receive the message "Connected to IDO Web Service successfully!"

Specify this Exchange information:
- EWS URL
- Specify a valid Exchange Web Service URL.
If you are unsure of the URL or think it may change in the future, leave this field blank. The Sync Process UI can automatically set the URL to the correct EWS for the specified email address.
- Email ID
- Specify the email address for the user that will connect to
the EWS.
This user also acts as a delegate account, which can create, read, update, and delete on behalf of other users, provided that permission is granted.
- Password
- Specify the password for the email ID.

Click Test Connection.
Ensure that you receive the message "Connected to Exchange Service!"

Specify this general information:
- Admin Email
- Specify an email address to use as the administrator email. This email address will receive notifications form the Sync Process UI about events, such as a failure to connect to a user account. You can specify multiple email addresses by separating them with a semicolon.
- Default Client Calendar
- Select the calendar to use as the default client calendar, if you did not select one on the Calendar Sync Users form.
- Ping Frequency
- Specify the frequency interval that the Sync Process UI will use to contact the EWS and SyteLine.
- Body Type
- Select if you want to use plain text or HTML by default in the body or note section of a calendar event, if you did not select one on the Calendar Sync Users form.
- Include Private Appointment
- Select No if you do not
want to synchronize Exchange calendar items that are marked as
private. Select Yes to
include them.
Private appointments are added to the calendars with the date, time, and subject. The subject is displayed as PRIVATE. No other details are added to SyteLine.
- HTML Template Folder
- If you selected HTML as the Body Type, then a custom HTML template can be used to format the body of the calendar event. Specify the system folder where the template is located. If the template is in the subfolder HtmlTemplates under the application folder, leave this field blank. See Creating a custom calendar event template for more information.
- Click Save then Close.
After performing the initial configuration, if the
configuration has changed while the background task is active, we recommend that you
restart the Sync Process background task to apply the change.
