Formatting dates, times, and other specific data in components

The default formats for date and time are those specified in the regional settings in Windows Control Panel. Date, time, and other specific data formats can be inherited or overridden at any point in the Windows client inheritance hierarchy.

Component property	Description
Date Format	Specify whether date and time data include the date only, the time only, or both the date and time.
Default IME Character Set	Set the Input Method Editor (IME) to a specified character set. This property is used only with components which receive input from Asian language keyboards.
Binary Data	Specify the file extension of binary data. This property is used only with components bound to a property that contains binary data.
