About Grid Only forms
A Grid Only form consists of a single grid, bound to an IDO collection and displayed in a row-column table format. The Grid Only form has a primary collection only and cannot contain a subcollection or secondary collection. Usually, Grid Only forms have no filter criteria associated with them and are best suited for relatively small collections containing few properties.
Creating Grid Only forms
There are a number of different ways you can create Grid Only forms. The created Grid Only form functions the same regardless of the method used to create it.
These are the options for creating a Grid Only form:
- In a web client operating environment, you can use the Web Designer to create the form.
- In a Windows client (on-premises installation), you can use Design Mode.
- If the web client New Form Wizard - MultiView form has been designated as a Runtime Builder form and you have authorization to create Runtime Builder forms, you can use that option. In this case, the form wizard operates the same as the Web Designer option.
