Using the Engineering Window

The Engineering Window gives you access to the Engineering Workbench and Engineering Board as two sub-forms inside a single window.

Open the Engineering Window. The Engineering Workbench displays in the left and center panes and the Engineering Board displays in the right pane.
You can perform these actions:
- Right-click a current, job, or estimate BOM to load its operations and materials on the Engineering Workbench and the graphical card of the BOM’s top-level item on the Engineering Board.
- Job BOMs in a Released status (available for production) show Issue Material and Issue Labor buttons on the Engineering Workbench; click these buttons to open Job Material Transactions and Unposted Job Transactions pre-filtered for the selected BOM.
- After drilling down in a current BOM, click the Back button on the Engineering Workbench to go up each parent level and see the Engineering Board refreshed with those parent items.
- View color-coded Percent Complete columns in red, amber, green, and blue for a Job BOM’s materials and operations:
  - Red indicates the amount issued is less than 25% complete
  - Amber indicates the amount issued is more than or equal to 25% complete, but less than 100% complete
  - Green indicates the amount issued is more than or equal to 100% complete, but less than 200% complete
  - Blue indicates the amount issued is more than 200% complete
Note: The Percent Complete column and the Issue Material, Issue Labor, and Back buttons are available on the stand-alone Engineering Workbench.
