Archiving Forms
Archiving a form or object removes it from the active development environment and places it in a special archive database. You can archive an object only if no one has it checked out.
To archive a form with its associated template and/or global objects:
- Open the Form Control form.
- In the Actions group box, select Archive.
- Select the Forms tab.
- In the Master form name field, select the form you want to archive.

Verify in the
Locked by user field that
no one has the form checked out. The field should be blank.
Note: You cannot archive a form or object that is checked out. Execute Action is disabled if the form or object is checked out.

Select from the options that are shown in this table:
To archive this: Do this: The form without its template or any of its associated global objects Verify that these check boxes are cleared:
- Include form template
- Display/Select referenced global objects to be included with action
The template for the form Select Include form template.
Clearing this check box leaves the template in the forms template database.
Only one copy of each global object referenced by this form Select Eliminate duplicate global references. All copies of a global object Clear Eliminate duplicate global references. Global objects associated with this form - Select
Display/Select

The Global Objects Referenced from Form pane displays all the global objects associated with this form.
- Perform one of these actions:
- To archive all associated global objects, click
Select
All.
By default, all global objects associated with the form that can be archived are selected.
- To archive only selected global objects, first click Deselect All. Then, in the Inc (Include) column, select the objects you want to archive.
- To archive all associated global objects, click
Select
All.
- In the Process Options group, click Execute Action.
- When prompted, click OK.
Note: During this process, Form Control displays a warning if a device
type exists for a form but is not synchronized between databases. For more

Utilities Tab.
