Pedimento

A pedimento is an official customs document used in Mexico for the import and export of goods. The document serves as a legal declaration to the Mexican customs authorities.

This document contains essential information such as:
  • Description of goods
  • Quantity and value
  • Harmonized System (HS) code
  • Duties and taxes paid
  • Importer and exporter details

A Pedimento is required to ensure compliance with Mexican trade regulations and facilitate proper assessment of tariffs and duties. This document is processed by customs’ brokers on behalf of importers or exporters.

In CloudSuite Distribution, pedimento numbers can be assigned to order lines, to ensure that products can be linked back to the associated pedimento documentation. For Storeroom managed orders, the Tracking # field is used to track Pedimento products, during Purchase Order Receipt. For Non-Storeroom orders, products should be entered as lot-controlled products to store the 15-digit Pedimento number. For example, 24-12-1234-1234567. The Format 4 XML for IDM or third-party invoice forms store the Pedimento number as the ImportID.

The Pedimento numbers can be viewed on the Sales Order Inquiry and Purchase Order Inquiry screens.
