Distribution Proof of Delivery
It is composed of two applications:
-
The web-based Manager application is used for these tasks:
- Managing routes, deliveries, and drivers
- Warehouses and user setup
- Assigning routes for deliveries
- Tracking the delivery process
-
The mobile Driver application that runs on the iPhone and Android smart phones is used for these tasks:
- Managing delivery routes
- Recording deliveries
- Capturing signatures and storing images
- Recording the date, time, and GPS coordinates of deliveries
Distribution Proof of Delivery must be synchronized with Infor ION and your ERP application. After API Gateway and the ERP are configured, the Manager application displays delivery line items that are picked in warehouses and ready for delivery. The warehouses must be set up in the ERP and in Distribution Proof of Delivery. The sales orders are placed in the picked stage in the ERP until delivery processing is complete in Distribution Proof of Delivery. The application supports ERP order types, such as stock orders, warehouse transfers, and customer returns. The ERP orders are considered as deliveries in the Distribution Proof of Delivery application. These deliveries can be assigned to delivery routes and process during the driver pickup process. Deliveries that have been assigned to delivery routes and retrieved by the mobile Driver application cannot be changed. The Distribution Proof of Delivery Manager or Driver application does not support modifying a delivery.
Ultimately, the delivery information is sent back to the ERP through API Gateway. This provides the communication component between the ERP and the Distribution Proof of Delivery Driver application.
Delivery images or signatures that are captured by the Delivery Driver application are stored in Infor Document Management (IDM). A unique ID is assigned to each image that is used to retrieve the image when you view the delivery detail. The ID is also sent to the ERP to be stored with the sales order.
The Distribution Proof of Delivery Manager and Driver applications support multiple languages, including German, Swedish, Canadian French, and Mexican Spanish, in addition to English, to accommodate global users.
