Overview

Infor Distribution Proof of Delivery is used to manage and track deliveries and Will call orders. POD comprises of web-based Managers application and mobile Driver application that runs on iPhone and Android smart phones.

The web-based Managers application is used for these tasks:

• Managing routes, deliveries, and drivers
• Managing will call orders
• Warehouses and user setup
• Assigning routes for orders
• Tracking the delivery process

A mobile Driver application that runs on the iPhone and Android smart phones is used for these tasks:

• Managing delivery routes
• Recording deliveries
• Managing will call orders
• Capturing signatures and storing images
• Recording the date, time, and GPS coordinates of deliveries and will call orders

Proof of Delivery must be synchronized with ION and your ERP application. After ION and the ERP are configured, the Manager application displays order line items that are picked in warehouses and ready for delivery or customer pickup. The purchase orders are displayed in the Manager application when the purchase order is updated to the Pre-Received stage in the ERP and are ready for pickup from the vendors. The warehouses must be set up in the ERP and in Proof of Delivery. Orders of the type, sales, warehouse transfer, and customer returns are placed in the picked stage in the ERP until delivery processing is complete in Proof of Delivery (POD), whereas purchase orders are placed in the pre-received stage until receiving process is completed in POD. Orders that have been assigned to delivery routes and retrieved by the mobile Driver application cannot be changed. The Proof of Delivery Manager or Driver application cannot take on and apply any order modifications.

Ultimately, the delivery or receiving information is sent back to the ERP through ION. This provides the communication component between the ERP and the Proof of Delivery Driver application.

Delivery images or signatures that are captured by the Delivery Driver application are stored in Infor Document Management (IDM). A unique ID is assigned to each image that is used to retrieve the image when you view the delivery detail. The ID is also sent to the ERP to be stored with orders of the type, sales, warehouse transfer, purchase, and customer returns.

Proof of Delivery supports multiple languages and date formats based on the Language and Country/Region field values defined in the User Settings of Infor OS. Supported languages:
