Duplicate record detection

Duplicate record detection in CloudSuite Distribution (CSD) uses Infor Velocity Suite, enabled with Coleman AI, Infor Data Fabric, and Infor ION, to identify duplicate and highly similar records. This feature helps improve data quality by evaluating updated and existing records and comparing selected record information with existing data.

A configurable similarity threshold determines whether records are considered highly similar. When a potential duplicate is identified, a notification is displayed in the Inbox or Notification Center widget. You can open the notification to view information about the potential duplicate, including the matching record information and the similarity score.

The notification is provided for information purposes only. Records are not automatically merged, deleted, or inactivated. You must perform the applicable record-maintenance processes to resolve confirmed duplicates.

This table lists the record types that support duplicate record detection, the associated Business Object Document (BOD), and the information used to identify potential duplicates:

Duplicate evaluation is performed within each company, and a single workflow can support multiple companies.

Note: Duplicate record detection is provided as part of Infor Velocity Suite and no feature activation is required in CSD.

Deployment and configuration are performed by your implementation team or Infor Services as part of Velocity Suite enablement in the tenant. Administrators can refer to KB3605872 and select the latest version for deployment and configuration details.
