Terminology

You should be familiar with how these terms are used in Proof of Delivery.

  • Route

A route groups deliveries into a unit. For example, deliveries can be grouped by the ZIP codes of ship to addresses on deliveries.

  • Delivery

Deliveries are created from orders that are picked at the Ship From warehouse. Sales orders are ready to be loaded into a delivery truck and carried to the customer’s ship to address.

Warehouse transfer orders are ready to be loaded to a delivery truck and transported to the Ship To Warehouse. These are the types of warehouse transfers:
    • Internal warehouse transfers: The Ship From Warehouse and Ship To Warehouse field values are displayed.
    • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) warehouse transfers: The Customer ID, Customer Name, Ship From Warehouse, and Ship To Warehouse field values are displayed. The Ship To Warehouse field is populated with the warehouse associated with the customer in CloudSuite Distribution.

Deliveries contain the information needed for a delivery, such as customer and ship to address, ship from warehouse, ship to warehouse, delivery ID, item lines, order transaction type, etc.

  • Delivery age

The number of days since the delivery order was transferred to Proof of Delivery.

  • Manager

A manager can be a warehouse manager or a delivery driver manager.

  • Handler

A handler is a delivery driver.
