Function acronym: OEIR
Use this page to view a list of orders that are on hold or not approved. The oldest orders are displayed first.
You can click the headings to sort orders.
On this page, you can perform these actions:
- Approve orders that are on hold
- Select an order to view the order details
- Convert Quote Orders (QU) to regular stock orders
- Print approved orders using the option
If an order with Operation Hold Codes is approved using the option, the order is cleared from the grid and is not available for printing from the grid. To print such orders, use the option to approve the order and access the Print screen, wherein the required printing options can be selected.
- Some orders require user confirmation before approval.
- The option is displayed when one or more orders are selected. This option is enabled only when a single order is selected.
To approve orders for release or convert quote orders, select the order on this window and click Quick Approval or click Quick Approval and specify the order number on the Quick Approval window. The quote must be an unapproved quote entered by your Channel System customer, or a Quote Order (QU) entered through a batch function.
Depending on your company’s policy, a hold can be placed on all orders when they are entered in Sales Entry. The Approve option in Sales Entry can be set to show an order as approved, on hold, or not approved. If orders are not placed on hold automatically, there are system checks that can cause an order to be put on hold. These conditions can cause a hold:
- The customer is over their credit limit.
- Today’s date is past the customer open date.
- Today’s date is before the customer’s hold date.
- Period balances exist in periods greater than or equal to the customer’s hold period.
- The order is below minimum order.
- The order is over the maximum order amount.
- The order is a Manufacturer Rep order.
These limits for a customer are set on the Customer Setup-Credit and Customer Setup-Order windows.
